It's March, and you know what that means...

The annual Happy Kids Reading Challenge has finally arrived. I hope you and your kids are ready to read. This year's reading challenge starts tomorrow on March 1 and will last until the end of the month with the big Reading Challenge Finale for ASLA being held on April 1. This month-long celebration of reading is meant to put the focus on healthy reading habits. This is a time for our students to look at ho much they are reading and challenge themselves to find the time to read more. Reading is the only path to bilingual fluency. Get on board and help us motivate our Happy Kids to keep reading this month.

This year's Reading Challenge is called Riddle Wars: A Reading Challenge. The event takes it's theme from the original play written by several Happy Kids teachers called Riddle Wars: The Riddlemaster Awakens. Students will pend the month traversing the setting and plot of the play hoping to unlock the secret of the riddles and the story itself. All will be revealed on April 1. Please visit the Reading Challenge website to learn more about the Reading Challenge and to see which team is in the lead.

Also coming up this month is Parent-Teacher Conferences. It's hard to believe there is just three months left until Summer Session starts. Take a minute to read the Principal's Note for this month below, and thank you all for your continued support.
